Prophet of Periodicity

Painted on a square of reclaimed material whose seams still show through, this piece centers a dark, rounded beetle carved with silver filigree. A band of folk-inspired pattern in red, orange, and green runs behind it, and patterned medallions drift across a vivid green ground.

Periodicity is the science of things that return on schedule, like tides, seasons, and the insects that reappear year after year. The beetle stands as the prophet of those cycles, a quiet messenger that nature keeps time.
